Dual Credit and Trades Training Programs

To participate in any of these offerings, visit the Career Commons to learn more and obtain an application.

Dual Credit Courses

Royal Bay offers several first-year post-secondary academic courses allowing students to earn high school and post-secondary credits simultaneously.  Courses offered range from first year math to first year English.  Students attend these courses in the regular school day.  Application to these courses begins in the spring for the upcoming school year.

Dual Credit Programs

While students are enrolled in secondary school, they can earn secondary school credits for graduation while enrolled in several program offerings.

Students who meet the prerequisites can have their tuition fee paid for by the School District, while enrolled in an approved first year program.

Students typically go to Camosun in their Grade 12 year but apply in Grade 11.  Applications for these programs can be picked up in the Career Commons.

Youth Train in Trades

Students interested in earning their technical training in a skilled trade can do so prior to graduation if prerequisites are met and seats are available.
