Excel is a program that meets the diverse learning needs of students who have an Inclusive Education Plan (IEP) and are working towards meeting specific goals. In the Excel program, students are working towards achieving success through adapted curriculum expectations.
Scheduling
Students are scheduled in the Excel classroom 2 periods a day where they focus on the English Language Arts and Mathematics core and curricular competencies. Students are scheduled into elective classes for two periods a day.
Curriculum
The Excel program focuses on building students’ capacity in English Language Arts and Mathematics based on the BC Ministry of Education core and curricular competencies. Excel program students require program adaptations to facilitate their achievement of the learning standards in the curriculum.
